Summary

Mind, Body, Health & Politics approached me to create a brand identity. Until our collaboration, the podcast had minimal brand consistency across its various channels, and the branding that was used felt stodgy and incongruent with its edgy, transcendant vibe.

This color palette is bright and vibrant—not what you might expect from an intellectual radio show, and that’s the point. This color combination conveys energy and excitement, and it feels edgy.

Turquoise is associated with communication and clarity. It’s also energizing and feels fresh.

Yellow is associated with intellect while range is associated with warmth and positivity. I picked a color that took the best of both worlds.

Inter, a sans serif Google-compatible font, pairs well with the playful letterforms of the wordmark; The type is friendly and conversational.

Source Serif Pro, another Google-compatible font, keeps the brand from appearing too cool for school. The serifs of this font lend authority and credibility, which subtly balance the whimsy of the logo.
