Bánh Wich is a hole-in-the-wall gem in San Francisco's Sunset District. I created a brand identity that embraces the slapdash approach to branding and aesthetics usually taken by mom-and-pop shops. I wanted to retain the charm and unpretentious air that imbue these type of establishments, but to present them with slightly more intentionality. In addition reflecting charming perfunctory of storied neighborhood eateries whose primary goal it churn out tasty food on the cheap, I wanted to pay homage to the busting urban vibe in which the bánh mí sandwich was born.
